Chat is the main workspace in Mistle. You can ask for explanations, request code edits, and plan new features without leaving the thread.

What You Can Ask For

  • Break down a tricky bug or error message.
  • Generate or edit code in specific files.
  • Explore new concepts with examples pulled from your project.
  • Outline a feature and turn it into an actionable plan.

Start a Conversation

  1. Describe what you need in plain English.
  2. Reference files with @ or topics with # so Mistle understands the context.
  3. Press Send. The assistant reviews your project and replies with steps, code, or follow-up questions.

Helpful Habits

  • Be direct about your goal and what you’ve tried.
  • Pull in relevant files early so the assistant sees the same code you’re looking at.
  • Open a new chat when you switch to a fresh problem—responses stay sharper when the context is focused.
  • Watch the context bar to keep the conversation within the sweet spot for fast answers.
